A Polygraph Literary Journal

Lighthouses In Storms

Format: Long Form Anthologies

What is a Polygraph Journal?

An Anthology Publication Format

A polygraph journal is a grand-scale, collaborative publication format written and built by a multitude of diverse writers, artists, and creatives coming together to form a single literary mosaic.

Within Our Earthians Community Group (OECG), Lighthouses In Storms represents our dedicated Polygraph Journal format—three massive, evolving legacy volumes housing over 100+ global contributors on our Plants bookshelf. More than a simple collection of stories, a Polygraph is a community symphony of current events. It is a sweeping literary canvas where countless distinct voices unite, harmonise, and stand strong together to map out shared human survival through global crises.

These landmark volumes document our earliest collaborative experiments, standing as towering pillars of collective courage, truth, and ink on life's battlefield and are housed under our Legacy Books.

The Story Behind The Originals

Adversity is a solitary friend and we immediately understood how sometimes he is also the only force driving others to pursue themselves through the expression of words, art, and creativity.

To enable this goal, we conducted three challenges—The Weavers’ Challenge, The Stringing Words Challenge, and The Form Runners and Inventors’ Challenge. The sole purpose for these challenges coming into existence was the beautiful discovery of finding amazing creatives on Instagram just waiting to be seen, appreciated, and recognized.

This intention to help creatives discern, explore, and claim their creative gifts with pride along with publishing them in anthologies coincided, aligned, and came together at the perfect time.

How Challenges Inspired
IGP's First Anthologies

What makes these three anthology volumes unique is how they got shaped through the challenges we conducted at IGP to bring out their best:

The Weavers' Prompts

This Challenge was an interesting tool that sifted through the pandemic times to find hope under the swirling currents of enveloping fear in the dark.

Stringing Words Together

This Challenge threw a spotlight on many other like-minded souls that we explored in a diversification of themes in a storm of perspectives.

Form Runners & Inventors

This Challenge was created to encourage new poetry forms within the talented poetry community by connecting innovative poets with poetry form lovers.

By blending their voices in a timeless choreography of publications, our first contributors gave us
the motivation to officially establish the book community of Our Earthians Community Group.
We chose this name as the compiler, rather than the Editor-in-Chief's name,
because in our eyes that is how an anthology is made whole—
many voices speaking together from all over the world.
