Revealing The Wild
What is a Duograph Journal?
A Collaborative Publication Format
A duograph journal is a collaborative publication format entirely written, curated, or created by exactly two distinct authors or creators working in synchronization.
Within Our Earthians Community Group (OECG), Revealing The Wild represents our dedicated Duograph Journal format—three short-form volumes structurally driven by these unique, two-author partnerships. The themes of this journal explore the layers of true love, the wild in nature, and the business of cities.
More than just side-by-side contributions, a Duograph is a creative duet. It is an innovative literary canvas where two distinct voices entwine, sync, and ignite one another to explore the untamed horizons of the human experience. These collaborations serve as an onion-layered blueprint for what IGP wants to publish through at IGP SHIP's Prism Forum via The Submissions Program.
The Foundational Three
A deep, evocative journey charting the wild pathways of life, connection, and shared destiny that evokes imaginative discussions to this day.
→ Color EditionA brilliant literary piece that shifts seamlessly between lighthearted, delightful comedy and deep truth that shifted the tides of what is to what could be.
→ Color EditionA powerful creative exploration that discussed the seriousness of emotional vulnerability like waves embarking on an adventure.
→ Color EditionThe Story Behind the Three Musketeers
Every great journey has a foundational baseline. Long before OECG had formally crystallized into a structured book community, or IGP started its solo book journey travels with individual authors, we first invested our time in an experiment in creative partnership in 2018-2019 before deciding to even launch our press back in 2020. This brought together three distinct duo collaborations—later known as The Three Musketeers by one of the authors, Linda Lokhee—and the name stuck.
While these books were published after the birth of Ink Gladiators Press, their initial digital and print runs were released as the historical Black & White editions housed on the Lamps Bookshelf. Serving as foundational paths without earning anything from them, these early partnerships proved the power of collective ink.
In 2024, we elevated this milestone by releasing their gorgeous, rich full-color counterparts on the Beacons Bookshelf to continue honoring our original partnerships as well as our vow to never earn anything off of them.
How These Books Define IGP's Foundational Ethos
What makes these three foundational volumes so extraordinary is how they perfectly mirror the core triad of what we seek in any true Ink Gladiator:
Words
Delivering sharp, raw, and impactful storytelling that refuses to hide or pull punches.
Art
Harnessing visual aesthetics of calligraphy, design, and art—from the raw contrast of the original Lamps prints to the vibrant energy of the Beacons color runs—to elevate the written form.
Creativity
Stepping outside traditional boundaries to co-create safe, shared, and deeply expressive spaces.
Timi Jolaoso, and Reena Doss—laid the groundwork for more future community duets.
