A monograph journal is a deeply focused, engrossing, and singular publication format dedicated to exploring specific, obvious truths or solo conceptual perspectives through woven story snippets.
Within Our Earthians Community Group (OECG), Things That Matter represents our themed Monograph Journal format. This unique chapbook series acts as a voice tapestry, weaving together 21 distinct perspectives into a powerful collective narrative. It offers a dedicated space for one author to speak for those who can't—no matter the age, background, or nationality—to use one's understanding of events, what was witnessed, and to examine human injustice to make sense of a world that faces war, inequality, and other struggles.
Built on the belief that a single voice can create ripples of real change, this series provides a polished sanctuary for those who express themselves through words, art, or other creative forms. It is designed to encourage a new way of thinking in order to break through the corrupt noise, speak against cruelty, and protect our Earth from being destroyed by greed, power, and envy.

The author wanted to cover how buildings, fictional subjects, and inanimate objects act as memory-keepers as children, women, and men become final storytellers in places fractured by conflict.
The books include poetic fragments, childlike/adult/fictional prose, artwork, and real-world facts compiled together in the Things That Matter series.
They act like anthologies, even when they are just one author who features 21 voices by acting like they are different roles she is speaking in. They are imagined stories for children and adults who couldn't voice the horror of what they were going through, yet still chose resilience to survive.

What makes this underestimated book so mindblowing is how one can take ordinary, real-world life and review it through a different lens during times of war, conflict, and injustice:
Displacement
We see architecture as works of grandeur, but what are they really when calamity, explosives, or bombs collapse them? How many lives are destroyed? When do those who lose their home ever find it?
Domination
We see power moving in societies through influence, wealth, and status, but where are they when the time comes for them to stand up for what is right? When will they cease to allow corruption to dominate their own will to do good? Why do they choose to align with what isn't good for their souls?
Depression
We see depression embedding itself in the culture of society as though it is a falsity, a mark of cold armor, or even a bid for attention, but when life turns upside down for those who mock its reasons for existing, how can they still claim what they once said about it?
