Honoring our silent, loud, and performing voices

WORDS, ART & CREATIVITY DAY

Words, Art & Creativity Day has been given its unofficial, celebratory and global date by Ink Gladiators Press—23rd of August.

This day marks the anniversary of a profound journey—a moment of reckoning when the powerful voices within had to be acknowledged, honored, and brought to life to meet the outside. It represents a holistic human path of taking one's internal expressions, chosen language, and expressions and moving them into a personally fulfilling direction, translating it professionally for the community, which automatically builds a lasting and enduring public record.

We dedicate this unofficial world day to honor the multi-dimensional ways human beings process their journey, navigate their realities, and leave an uncompromised trace of their work essence in the world.

How We Celebrate

We do not honor this day by waiting on the calendar to be inspired. We celebrate Words, Art & Creativity Day by building a daily practice that embodies one, two, or all three of these expressive gifts.

  • Commit to the PracticeSpend time every day writing a single line, capturing a distinct visual, or designing a tiny solution.
  • Honor your voice Whether your voice is a whisper in a private notebook, a post on social media, or a loud performance on a public stage, let it be expressed without apology.
  • Say no to complacency Protect your gifts from becoming stagnant, procrastinated or buried by the noise of the world.

The August 23rd Challenge

Every August 23rd, IGP SHIP challenges our community to remember what being an Ink Gladiator means—having a heart full of ink that tries to be better than yesterday, that someone needs your words, art, and creativity to heal, and simply because you deserve to know why you exist.

A daily choice to live in the purpose you were created for automatically relates to your natural gifts, and develops you in a holistic way—spiritually, emotionally, psychologically, mentally, spatially, physically, and socially.

A wave of hope arrives, arrives

but slowly, surely...

like a candle in the dark
