Bookshelves
Flowers are full-length books that bloom with depth, clarity, and the author’s complete creative vision. Buds are short-form previews that offer an early, tender glimpse into a Flower’s unfolding journey.
Flowers are full-length books of 75+ pages, considered fully realized works with a clear voice, structure, and artistic or literary intent. They may be submitted as:
- Complete manuscripts
- A Flower accompanied by a Bud (a preview, teaser, or companion booklet)
Buds are shorter companion pieces linked to a Flower. They may be:
- Previews
- Teasers
- Selected chapters
- Early drafts or companion booklets
Buds are never standalone; they always belong to a Flower.
The names reflect creative growth:
- Bud → early bloom, first glimpse
- Flower → full maturity, complete work
This mirrors the journey of artistic development
Flowers may include:
- Reflective or personal narrative books
- Prose, poetry, or hybrid volumes
- Books combining writing, art, photography, or visual storytelling
Selection is guided by depth, quality, and sincerity.
Authors may submit a self-published Flower or Bud during an Open Submissions Call.
To submit:
- Email: forigp.submissions@gmail.com
- Subject: FLOWER or BUD Submission – [Your Name]
Include: PDF or link, cover image, author name, synopsis, contributor credits (if any), and any questions about listing or presentation.
Authors who wish to submit a raw manuscript for possible IGP collaboration may also do so during an Open Call.
Submission does not guarantee selection for publishing.
Open Calls do not follow a fixed schedule.
They may occur once, twice, or three times a year, depending on curation flow and available room on the shelf.
Calls are publicly announced, and anyone may submit—a Flower, a Bud, or a draft—during the open period.
- Listing a finished book (Flower):
Free. It is a collaborative listing where the author and IGP agree on a percentage split. If a manuscript is selected for publishing through IGP:
The author chooses how much they wish to contribute toward the time, care, and work involved.
IGP provides: formatting, editing, design, publishing consultancy, and presentation.
Authors retain full control of their final files and handle their own ISBN, distribution, and sales.
Authors who prefer full control may:
- Host the book themselves (Amazon, Lulu, personal website, etc.)
- Have IGP list only the cover + links
- Be added to a curated Shelf if relevant
This option means:
- IGP supports, lists, and boosts visibility
- Authors maintain full control over pricing, files, hosting, and royalties
- IGP does not handle or touch sales
Authors keep full copyright over Flowers and Buds. They may republish, revise, distribute, or relocate their work at any time. IGP claims no ownership, and all listings are fully credited.
Authors may choose:
- Hosted Listing: IGP displays the Flower or Bud digitally.
- Non-Hosted Listing: Only cover, title, and external links (for collaborated works).
- Any store or distribution channel, even without listing in the IGP store.
All options are flexible and author-led.
Some works may be reviewed by the IGP Ink Review Gangsters (IRGs). Reviews are:
- Optional
- Unsolicited
- Crafted with emotional-lens insight
Curation considers:
- Strength and clarity of voice
- Creative intent
- Fit within the Shelf
Authors always retain autonomy.
- All contributors must grant permission for inclusion.
- IGP does not use submitted work for AI training or redistribution.
- All excerpts and credits remain fully attributed and unaltered.
- Author integrity is respected at every step.
Together, Flowers and Buds create a blooming path—works that begin softly, grow fully, and stay with the reader long after the last page.
