What is Human Rights Day?

Human Rights Day is observed every year on 10 December, commemorating the day the United Nations General Assembly adopted the Universal Declaration of Human Rights (UDHR) in 1948—a milestone document that proclaims the inalienable rights that everyone is entitled to as a human being.

We believe that another world is possible—and worth building, page by page.

We stand with the displaced, the silenced, and the brave.
We choose to record light in the face of darkness.

I. Peace, The IGP Way

IGP honors Human Rights Day year-round through art, publications, future museum exhibits, and soul-led resources at CAMP Hatch.

We believe in nonviolent revolutions of the heart, mind, and imagination. Our resistance to hatred, war, and division takes form in:

Words: Through storytelling, interviews, essays, and written memory.
Art: Through collaborative creations, exhibitions, and visual responses to global crises.
Creativity: Through publications, dialogues, and invitations to co-create a better world.

Our pages become a form of creative witnessing—to not just document suffering but illuminate the voices, actions, and beauty rising from it.

II. Our Stance: Humanity First

We stand alongside the core values championed by:

United Nations: For upholding dignity, justice, and peace across nations.
UNICEF: For their steadfast protection of children, their rights, and futures.
UNHCR & Refugee Organizations: For honoring displaced lives and rebuilding hope across borders.

While we are not formally part of these institutions, we carry their spirit forward in our work, honoring the deep importance of equity, peace, and protection of the most vulnerable.

III. What We Do

As an independent platform for community-rooted publishing, we:

Share stories of cultural resistance, interfaith dialogue, and youth advocacy.
Document peace efforts, humanitarian work, and grassroots justice movements.
Uplift global artists and educators reflecting human dignity and ethical care.
Provide space to process the world’s pain—and to respond with love, not despair.

IV. Memory Archive

We document, compile, and publish Mental Health Zines at Translations Of Hope (TOH), Literary Journals at Our Earthians Community Group (OECG), and Short Story Publications at Warrior, You Are Loved (WYAL) to actively honor:

What it means to protect human rights through creative acts.
How art can respond to war, climate injustice, racism, and forced displacement.
How creative children, youth, and adults from around the world can reimagine better futures.

This is history being woven from broken glass, a tapestry of memories preserved, and a timelessness set in motion.

V. Join Us In Peacekeeping

You don’t need to be in a courtroom, a protest, or a global summit to defend human rights. You can do it right here—with your story, your work, your light.

We invite:

Artists, educators, elders, and youth.
Refugees, caregivers, and citizens of conscience.
